Modelling Architecture recently undertook a substantial Rights to Light survey for Monaco House in Birmingham, encompassing an area of half a kilometre square. Given the project’s vast scale, we employed both drone photogrammetry and terrestrial laser scanners to capture comprehensive data across the site. Our advanced drone technology allowed us to efficiently gather aerial data, while terrestrial laser scanners ensured precise measurements at ground level. This dual approach enabled us to cover extensive areas with high accuracy. Over the course of 10 weeks, our dedicated team meticulously processed the collected data to deliver a detailed Rights to Light report. The final deliverables provided crucial insights into potential light obstructions, supporting the planning and development processes for Monaco House. Our commitment to using cutting-edge technology ensures we meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability. At Modelling Architecture, we pride ourselves on delivering thorough and precise survey data for large-scale projects, helping our clients navigate complex planning requirements with confidence.
